God is the Author of a grand story of redemption, and it includes you! Esther, who was definitely a hero to her nation, was not the actual hero of the book of Esther – God is. His name is never mentioned in this short Old Testament book, but his hand of providence is seen in every verse.
Week One: The Real Hero of YOUR Story
It’s not about you, just like the book of Esther isn’t really about Esther. It’s about God, the Creator and Savior of the world. He’s the main character of this book of the Bible, and whether you realize it or not, he’s the main character in your story, too.
Week Two: When the World is Broken
The world is severely broken. We’ve all sinned, and the effects of sin abound all around us. Governments are corrupt, millions are oppressed, equality seems out of reach, etc. What do you do when everything around you is broken? You grow your character, you let God break your heart, and you get involved.
Week Three: The Power of ONE
God puts his hand upon available individuals, inviting and empowering them to be a significant part of his redemptive work in the world.
Week Four: What Goes Around Comes Around
You have a life to give. You have a limited quantity of time and energy to invest into something bigger than yourself – something global, something timeless, something life-changing and history-altering.
