The gospel – the good news about Jesus – supplies the power to rescue anyone from the grip of sin and death. No matter how far you’ve wandered, no matter what crimes you’ve committed, and no matter how long you’ve been away, Jesus who died for you and rose for you can and will save you, draw you to Himself, and welcome you into God’s forever family.

That’s why Paul proclaimed,

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

– Romans 1:16

The gospel, when clearly explained and fully fleshed out, delivers us from darkness to light. When embraced, this good news ushers us into an intimate family relationship with the Father and His Son. And when lived out among other human beings, it shows off the righteousness of God in both word and deed.

The gospel deserves to be believed, to be lived, and to be shared everywhere that anyone will listen. It is the power of God for the deliverance of everyone who believes!
