A Video for Every Man – Slow Fade

“People never crumble in a day. It’s a slow fade.” ~ Casting Crowns

How true! Failures of a spiritual or moral nature happen as we chip away at our own integrity, as Satan gains one little foothold after another, and as sin creeps up behind us. It happens little by little.

Everybody, but especially ever man ought to watch this teaching video by Casting Crowns explaining how their song, Slow Fade, illustrates Psalm 1.

Oh, Pastor Brandon, thank you for sharing this video with us. We can all learn a lesson from this indeed. I know one thing I learned is that I used to think I crumble in a day, but that is not true for any of us. Sometimes, we’re not aware of our sins until it’s too late, then, we have to realize we need to turn to God and ask Him to forgive us. Boy, I tell you what, if it hadn’t been for Jesus coming to this earth, dying, and rising again, we would all be in hell. I hate to be gloom and doom, but I think a lot of people need to pay attention to what’s going on around them. Or, if they have a spiritual brother or sister, he or she needs to gently lift that person up and point out anything he/she sees. I know I need this in my own life as well.

The truth isn't ever gloom and doom – well spoken.
